Welcome to Wish Dare Inspire’s performance of BABA YAGA! A magical retelling of the beloved Eastern European folktale of “Vasilisa the Brave”. This stunning new Singspiel (translated as singplay) by writer Sky Carver and composer Katie Bell, in which love and forgiveness will always conquer the greatest of sorrows and misunderstandings.

Have you heard any rumours about the Baba Yaga? Well, Vasilisa certainly hasn’t! Join her as she travels through the murky depths of the deep, dark forest in search of the wise woman, Baba Yaga, who she tricked by her stepmother into believing that she is the only person who can help her heal her father’s grieving heart.
Her journey will be perilous because Baba Yaga is a witch who eats foolish lost children!
So what will happen to Vasilisa?
Will she receive the help she seeks?
Or never return from Baba Yaga’s chicken-legged house?
Is it true that Baba Yaga is the only one who can help her?
The witch sets Vasilisa a number of tasks to complete which are seemingly impossible. But what they do not know is that the adventure that lies ahead is much more hopeful than either could have imagined.
Find out what happens when Vasilisa learns to listen and trust her own intuition and instincts and how that has a huge impact on the rest of her family.
